A roadmap of the books I'm writing now
Dyke Dialectics (2027, Historical Materialism)
A co-written work of Marxism-Lesbianism with my longtime co-thinker and beloved comrade, Alex Adamson.
As the succinct title insinuates, this book attempts a materialist philosophy not only about dykes, but by them, for them, through them. We write during a moment queers have been drawn unmistakably to the forefront of anti-imperialist struggle. Whether resisting ICE agents at all costs, or pioneering solidarity campaigning with Palestine, there's never been a busier time to be a red dyke!
Taking both a speculative and historically grounded approach Dyke Dialectics explores the full story of the revolutionary and the tribade. Informed by thinkers ranging from Sylvia Wynter to Evald Ilyenkov, we provide a new account of consciousness during the struggle against both the colonies and the heterosexual regime.
While I adore writing with Alex, this will likely be my first and only publication with an academic press. So enjoy!

Glossary of Holes (2027, Cutt Press)
A three part zine-encyclopedia, working over every imaginable orifice from A-Z.
Published by an inimitable Berlin local press, who have already pasted the letter 'O' up alongside a murky Berlin canal. (Pictures and videos to follow, stay tuned...)
Inner Secretions (2028, Publisher TBD)
A collection of non-Platonic dialogues on hormonal struggles, and how they offer us glimpses of sex.
Featuring a Pragmatist hook-up, a notorious brown dog statue, a woodland ceremony, some drunken louts on a tram delivering a beautiful epiphany, a Discord Inferno, and how to powerlift yourself up by your own bootstraps.

This anthology of new dialogues is entirely drafted, while still awaiting a suitable publisher. (If you know of one, do drop me a line!)
Abandoning Reason (2028, Publisher TBD)
Why has feminism never gotten past the image of diving into the wreck? Can we ever hope to reason in ways that elevate us beyond the debris? Or is that just another hopeful delusion, for our friends (at their kindest) to gently let us down from?
This book will examine a range of feminist philosophers through a highly original intellectual history, to grasp the connection between misogyny (hatred of women) and misology (hatred of reason).
Just like Listening Like A Girl, my method is both closely informed by debates within feminist philosophy, while drawing on a range of arguments from firmly beyond feminism. In this instance, the book's title is drawn from a brief essay from Warwick philosopher Gillian Rose.
Rose equates giving up on rationality with giving up not on a particular friend, but instead friendship itself. The intimacy and partiality suggested by this equation will cast much subsequent debate (from Iris Marion Young and Sylvia Wynter's respective humanisms, to the Xenofeminists' ferocious case for an indifferent and even inhuman Reason).

The Feminine Triptych (2028-2029)
Having had such a laugh writing Listening Like A Girl, I've now realised that book is the first entry of three, in a trilogy I loosely think of as The Feminine.
The Animal is the second book. A humanist defence of animal liberation.
The Oceanic is the third. About how a porcupine crossed the Atlantic.
Both will be written in much the same style as Listening Like A Girl: vivid vignettes which tease and test the limits of 'non-fiction', without sparing on verified and evocative little details sure to crawl under careful reader's skin...Oh yeah, and (just like in Listening) I do end up back in west London!
I am already in discussions with one publisher for The Animal, but not yet under contract! Get them while they're crawling!

Expressing Sex (2030-203?)
Expressing Sex will be my magnum opus, and may not be completed during the 2030s.
In several ways, I see this one as everything my early career is heading towards: a Pragmatist in-joke, a two word title, a refusal to accept the physiological as equivalent to the fixed (with anatomy dethroned as anything besides a springboard for meaningful and human revision.)
Hopefully my enthusiasm is clear enough, if not yet my argument! Expressing Sex stands as a shadow title for Supersensual.
